Why has Tai Chi become a weaklings art this century. Wasnt always like this?

I train in Tai Chi and through it ive learnt Dim Mak and Explosive power (fajing). It is a brilliant martial art, but I see practitioners doing something which just looks weak and ineffective. Why or how did this happen !|||Tai Chi Chuan is not a weakling martial art. It is a soft-style invented by the Wudang 'Taoist' Priests of Wudang Mountain.

Tai Chi is perceived by many from the elderly, students, and New Age enthusiasts as they practice slowly in parks and yoga studios.

But Tai Chi Chuan is a very effective martial art for street self-defense.|||your a damn muppet you dont know dim mak its a dead art. Also Tai Chi is not a weak art its extremely powerful and the true power lies within its softness and sensitivity. It takes decades to develop the true sensitivity but when you get it you appear to be extremely fast an untouchable when really your sesitivity is so developed you can react instantlly before an enemy executes their move. it is a weak art in the beginning until your body changes to use 4 ounces against a 1000 pounds there is no power in strength when it comes to fighting sensitivity is way more powerful but takes longer to get.|||only people who dont know anythign about martial arts think its a weak art.|||It's just not worthwile to train for.

It takes decades to master and by the time you do master it, your lose your physical abilities.
