What are the different forms of Tai Chi, and how are they different?

I was thinking about learning Tai Chi, and I found out that there are different styles. What are the differences?|||Tai Chi was kept as a closely guarded family secret in China.

The "different styles" that you are talking about are the names of different families that developed their own techniques:

Yang,

Chen,

Sun,

Wu,

etc.

Each family technique has several different forms (katas.)

For example, in the Yang branch, there are:

Yang 10,

Yang 24,

Yang 40,

Yang 88,

Yang 108,

etc.

The numbers indicate how many moves are in the form.|||David - great lineage!
